What I’m Ingesting Now: DeAndre Jackson and the Moonwalking in Calabasas

DeAndre Jackson is director of beverage at Humble Baron — the world’s longest bar — in Shelbyville, TN.

The Moonwalking in Calabasas cocktail is twist on the traditional Whiskey Bitter. The important thing to a wonderful Whiskey Bitter? Getting the stability good.

This whiskey bitter recipe has all the fitting proportions of brilliant, bracing lemon oleo and rhubarb bitters; warming Uncle Nearest 1856 whiskey; candy Averna Amaro and fluffy whipped egg white to ship a refreshing cocktail with a wealthy, smoother texture.

The Moonwalking in Calabasas cocktail has a particular place in my coronary heart, having created the riff for the annual Uncle Nearest Honor Your Legacy cocktail competitors, which I gained in 2021. This led me to my position at Humble Baron, positioned on the Uncle Nearest distillery in Tennessee.
