Aberfeldy 21 Yr Outdated Malbec Cask End
In partnership with Finca Ambrosia, a vineyard in Argentina, Aberfeldy Distillery has unveiled the newest addition to its Wine Cask Assortment: The Aberfeldy 21 Yr Outdated Malbec Cask End scotch whisky.
The whisky was distilled on December 14th, 2001, and matured for over 20 years in re-fill sherry and bourbon casks. It was then reracked into Malbec French Oak casks. The casks used for ending had beforehand matured Viña Unica by Finca Ambrosia after being coopered and toasted in Burgundy, France.
Aberfeldy’s Malt Grasp Stephanie Macleod, and Finca Ambrosia Winemaker Daniel Pi mixed forces and information to supply a whisky that carries the notes of oak over from the Malbec barrels.
